Rising Tide Conservation

Coral reefs face growing threats, including ocean acidification, warming ocean temperatures and coral bleaching, pollution, and over-exploitation that disrupts the reef’s delicate balance.

Rising Tide Conservation is an effort to reduce commercial collecting of reef fish by promoting captive breeding. This program provides a lifeline for reef populations by providing source alternatives. Many attempts to raise marine tropical fish have resulted in small successes. Rising Tide is an effort to move these advances to more widespread use.

Conservation. It’s in our Nature.

For more than 40 years, the Worlds of Discovery – better known as SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove – have initiated and supported wildlife conservation, research and education at home and around the world. Upon visiting Worlds of Discovery, many guests are inspired to help protect the animals they encounter and get involved with wildlife conservation. The SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund was, in part, created to fulfill that desire.
